do you go fishing/eat fish?

I just started thinking about this... because people at work who make cracks about eating my guppies (or any other fish in my tank) seriously irritate the heck outta me... yet, I still enjoy going fishing, and have piles of fish in my freezer... I once had my fishing rod at work because I was going out after work... caught myself leaning my rod against my aquarium... and felt like a horrible fish mom haha.

this feels like a weird/dumb question to ask... but I'm curious. As fish keepers... do you still eat fish? Do you go fishing? Or once your passion for fishkeeping has reached a certain point, do you start to view all fish the same as you view your pet fish?

i still eat fish but i do feel a little differnt than some...i am now more concerned of its origins...i hate the thought of suffering fishes...but at the same time i like a good steak and som fried telapia...i suppose it makes me a hipocrit but i being on the west coast it is easier to know and even catch the fish i eat in wich case if they dont suffer and my impact is minimal i stiil consume fish....although this is just me...i am a live on the land type guy.....interesting subject....i will keep my fishing pole out of sight from now on.....ADIOS...

Was vegetarian for 25 years and then started eating occasional free range meat, including fish this past year while I was pregnant. We still have fish on Friday, although I've been feeling weird because the aquarium sits nearby. Couldn't eat fish at all this past week because my platies weren't feeling well and it seemed wrong.

Been a fisherman since the day my Grandfather took me to the river at three years old. I spend about 200 days or evenings ,fishing during the year and for the most part,,it's catch and release with the exception of crappie, which I eat.
Fishing provides me a great deal of Serinity .

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.

I don't like cooked fish much, but sushi is growing on me.

I also fish, but catch and release.

I am and always have been a fisherman. As for eating fish I only eat what I catch and what i know for a fact is wild caught. I don't like eating fish from fish farms or harvesting plants that just feels mean.

Cool, very interesting to hear people's thoughts on this.

I eat the occasional canned tuna, but for the most part it's either fresh caught wild fish, either caught by myself, friends, or my boyfriend will buy it from a reserve a few hours north of here.
