Technically the food coloring has no discernable flavor difference.
Though thorough research has never been applied to this particular subject...there have been many studies in respect to how the human brain attaches known responses for flavor to certain colors.
If an individuals brain has learned through it's lifetime experience that a certain color Had
a taste associated with it there's a possibility that a food source with an entirely different flavor can have the previously applied learned flavor associated to it simply because of it's color.
LOL...I made that up but it sounds logical to me
