The Dark Knight

I finally got to see this movie tonight. Absolutely amazing. A must-see. For those of you out there turned off by the 80's/90's film versions of the Batman story or for people who aren't generally into "comic book movies" I suggest you give this movie a shot.

In case you needed more persuading, this movie is now ranked as the #1 best-rated movie of all time by the users of imdb.com (beating the former list-topper, The Shawshank Redemption). The movie also has a 94% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

LOL, I was wondering when you were gonna go see it!!! I thought it was GREAT (saw it opening weekend).

They're saying it could potentially top the earnings of Titanic. It already smashed all the other earnings records.

I agree completely with everything you said.

There's no way this movie should have gotten away with a PG-13 rating. Not much in the way of sex or profanity, I suppose, but there was some really brutal violence.

I hate to repeat what all the critics have been saying, but Heath Ledger's performance really makes this movie. I walked into the theater expecting it to be good, but honestly I thought I would be disappointed because of all the hype surrounding his role and his untimely death. However, he completely surpassed all of my expectations. He turned the character of The Joker into one of the darkest, most memorable villains ever to grace the big screen. I'm talking Darth Vader, Hannibal Lecter quality.

Lol I've gone and seen this movie twice now. My boyfriends obsessed with it and when nothings going on hes just like "Lets go see dark knight!!" So I'll probably see it a couple more times before it even comes out for rent.

It was amazing, batman kinda sucked compared to Heath though, he showed batman up sooo bad. But it was a kick @$%$ movie and everyone should go and see it right now. Lol you can't even tell its 2 hours and 40 minutes long.

Its a shame he never go to see how amazing he was He was SO FREAKING AMAZING. Like he was the joker, You couldn't even tell it was Heath Ledger.

GO SEE IT NOW.

And just before you laid dead weight upon its shores, I stung you in the face for that's the nature of my core.

I think the movie got me at the pencil trick.

Hype or no hype, this was possibly the best acting I've ever seen out of anyone. It's an extreme shame he's not here to celebrate.

"wanna see a magic trick? I can make this pencil dissappear..."

LMAO! i laughed so loud...that was the thing with this movie, i think because of Heath's death and the overall premise of the movie, it's taken very seriously, but I had such a hard time not laughing throughout the whole movie! I mean, his name IS the "Joker", right? it's SUPPOSED to be humorous! :P i loved his little quirky things, like the way he kept smacking his lips and the way he laughed. it was too much.

"no, no...i'm supposed to shoot the bus driver.."

"what bus driver?"
