Has anyone seen the film Cloverfield yet? I watched it last week, and quite liked the way it had been filmed - the story is captured from beginning to end on someone's video camera. The special effects were good, but I've heard there's additional footage after the end credits (which are quite long). Can anybody confirm this - since I missed it :(
I haven't seen it, though friends of mine who saw it complained about the shaky-ness of the film and possibly getting motion sickness! Did the shaky camera work not bother you? I've read the basic plot and it seems like something I'd really enjoy, but so far my friends' comments have kept me away...
We rented it last week and I enjoyed it. Although the shakiness did get a little annoying at times (think Blair Witch). The first 18 minutes were rather long but once the action got going it was very good and kept me on the edge of my seat.
I don't remember any additional footage after the credits.
After the credits, you see the taped-over footage of the main character and his girlfriend on the ferris wheel at Coney Island. If you pay close attention, you can see some object fall out of the sky and into the water in the background.
I thought the movie was good, but the initial buildup was a little too long.
The shakiness of the camera didn't really bother me Conger, but then I watched it at home. I can imagine it could be a bit much on the big screen. I agree with Jeaninel - it was quite slow to start with - but definitely worth a watch :)
