Call the emergency vet out ASAP.

Are there any visible signs of what's wrong with the cat, perhaps it's been hit by a car?

Okay. How long has he been there? Is he conscious and if so, does he appear to be in any distress?

Also, have you called a vet?

the cat jus died
i saw him meow and i petted him for 4 hours straight
the vet said he couldn't do anything to save him
the cat showed all the signs of death in 30 minutes
the vet injected him with a sleeping needle
the cat died peacefully
but i'm not

Sorry to hear about the cat microsoft, but you did everything you could. At least the vet put him to sleep and he isn't suffering anymore: that the best you could have done for him.

It's never easy to see an animal suffer, but you have done the best thing possible.

It's ok, Charles. You can get over with it. Animals won't last long and it's normal for them to approach death.:)
