A call to cichlid keepers!

Hey guys! I know it's been a really long time since I've been active on this forum, but I found this article on the BBC just now and immediately thought of this forum as a great place to repost it. There's a cichlid originally from Madagascar that's thought to be extinct in the wild. The only known specimens in captivity are all male, so they're in desperate need of fishkeepers who may own female fish to help!

Here's a link to the article:
BBC News - Zoo seeks mate for last surviving 'gorgeously ugly' fish

Please pass this around to anyone who might know of someone who could help. It breaks my heart to think that a species could go extinct due to the word not getting out. Thanks!

Wow. . . well I'm positive I don't have any of those laying around, but I'll do my best to repost this and spread the word. I hope they find some fishy females!

Thanks for posting, and welcome back!
