Unhappy Break ups are so hard...

I just broke up with my boyfriend and it's so heart-breaking. Technically we're on a long break though. I was hoping we'd still be friends because he's always been a best friend to me, but I don't think he wants to do that. We've been dating for almost 2 years and I realized yesterday that I think I fell out of love with him a little bit...I think it's mainly because we have a long distance relationship (3 hours apart) and we don't have the money to see each other all the time. When we did, it was every 4 or 5 months and it would only be for a couple days. I just couldn't stand not seeing him all the time. I guess I just need some support... I told him that maybe in a couple years when we both have great jobs, we can try it again. I'm too young (I'm 21) to be sitting at home not wanting to hang out with people because I want to talk to him over IM. My best friend said that it may hurt now, but I think this is the best thing for you right now. I hope so...

Sorry to hear that... You will be better in no time.

At least now you have time to enjoy Connecticut's awesome night life, lol!! (Born and raised CT boy here...)

Aww. *hugs* Break-ups ARE hard. Give it some time. It's hard to be friends right away sometimes because of all the mixed-up feelings. But those pass and then hopefully you guys can carry on your friendship. And if you were meant for more, when the time is right, it'll happen :)

For now, have fun, hang out with your friends, and do some stuff for yourself. And maybe get a new fish? Haha

Betta, Im right there with you. About a month ago my gf kicked me out, this is the first time I have ever lived on my own(and Im 27 lol). It was really really hard to start with, it gets easier. Atleast you dont have to see your ex everyday at work, makes it that much harder to get over.

It will get easier, give it a few weeks. Trust me Im still going through the same thing

Oh man, tell me about it. I know what they say about fishing off the company peer, but I just can't seem to stop. :P Makes the breakup SOOO much worse.

She took your fish??!! That's horrible! We ended up getting back together...we had a LONG talk about everything and we're going to work on things. XD So, we'll see how things go.
