I was in a very similar situation to you till recently, crazy nightshifts, split days and so on. I found that i was just going to bed when i felt tired/had some spare time. I found the addition of a blackout blind to my room was helpful. However i have just started my new job properly (well, that is, started just doing my new job, not working two full time jobs) and it's a 9-4 mon to friday with a few extra bits here and there.
I have started to get some sensible routine back to my life now, although it took about a week or so, as i found that i was going to bed at about 5 in the morning as i wasn't tired yet, but then was jiggered for my 8.45 start next day. Ths went on for a while, then i started falling asleep in the afternoon when i got back from work, then waking up at 11ish and staying up till god knows when...
Eventually i have managed to regulate myself properly, by being very(ish) strict and ensuring that i go to bed by midnight at the latest (well maybe 1-2 if i read for a bit - i'm in bed after all, that's got to count for something right?) and get up at a decent time, even on my days off. It's been a struggle, and i've felt like poo for a while, but it seems to be working, i even managed to get up at 9 on my day off and actually do something with the day rather than sleep!
I'm still adjusting to a nomal life, but it seems to be working, although i do miss having days off in the week - town's so full on a weekend! I'm used to having it to myself...
