i hope everyone is ok in the bad weather. i hate thunderstorms. and ice storms too.

Yeah they said it was a thundersleet....I just NOW got power back. Amazingly, not having power for the longest time...every single one of my fish have survived! At its lowest point my 55 gallon got down to 70 degrees (for an oscar ). I was freaking out, doing all I could to keep the temperature up. I actually did water changes using hot water and covered the tank in blankets. It must have worked, everything has been stable long enough now and they still have appetites.

Still have a lot of house damage...but hey, the fish are okay and everybody here is okay....those are the important things, right? :D

Glad to hear everything is ok. :)
I would of never thought of doing a hot water change and covering the tank with blankets thanx for sharing that dprush. I will keep that in mind this winter.
