It's all I've ever used. Just can't beat the price for basically indestructible yarn.

I used k mart yarn once and it sucked. The strands kept separating on me.

I told the hubby to get either the Red Heart or Caron One Pound. I've never used or touched COP but I've heard good things and it's not much more than RHSS but you get more so it's justified.

I think the Caron is good. I have some for my next project. I think black and white will be very pretty. I've been thinking of all the good color combis for babies and little kids.

I have to admit, my preferred yarn is acrylic, but I like softer acrylics than rhss lol.

Matthew 22:37-39
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]

Thanks, Jim. I'll post a pic of one I finished last night later. I'm hoping to turn it in on Wednesday at my meeting.

Are you using a pattern on the chevron? My grandmother used to make chevron blankets for everyone and I can't seem to find a pattern like them anywhere. I'll post a pic in a little bit of one but yours is very similar. I'd ask her but she passed away this last year so I can ask but getting an answer may be a little difficult. lol

I use the pattern my great aunt taught me. You chain 201 then dc 9 skip 2 ch then dc 9 and ch 2 and dc in the next st across to end. 2 dc in the end. I don't know how clear my directions are. Lol

Do you turn the work?

So you -
ch 201
dc 9
Skip 2
ch 1 (or skip 2 ch?)
dc 9
ch 2
dc in next stitch across
Repeat all or last step until end?
