I'm playing Super Paper Mario and it's a lot of fun. There is a lot of story line you have to rapidly keep pushing buttons to skip through, but once you get to the game play it is really cool. I would recommend checking it out.

Has anyone tried Mario Party 8? Any fun? I'd like to have a group of people over to play if it's any good!

I have one. Super Paper Mario was alright. Good game, but like someone said, the story took FOREVER.

My roommate has Mario Party 8, but I hate those games, haha.

My fav game so far is probably Zelda, but I can't wait for Manhunt 2 to come out.

They thought Noah was crazy when he built the ark.
They thought the forefathers of America were crazy when they rebelled.
They thought Howard Hughes was crazy when he built the Spruce Goose.
OK, Howard Hughes was crazy. But hopefully I'm not. :)

Basically, the games I have played are

Wii Sports - comes with it
Wii Play - Tanks is the best, but other games are fun too. Only worth it if you play with other people quite often. If you like Wii Sports, you'll enjoy this one as well.
ExciteTruck - lots of fun, you turn the truck by dropping either the left or right side of the remote, like you're steering.
Zelda - AMAZING.
Super Paper Mario - Good, but story is tooooo slooooowwwwww.
Mario Party 8 - Not my kind of game, but my roommate loves it.
Red Steel - Don't waste your money. Not worth $5.

I think that's it... It also plays Gamecube games as well, so don't forget about that.

Is it worth trying Gamecube games ? I just cannot see that interarction would be the same you would get with dedicated Wii games. Like when the horse brays thru the handset.

Quick Zelda update. Have got to the bit were you are the dog and have to locate the sheild and the sword.

in the village, the sword is in the pregnant ladies house. you have to sneek into it via dirt hole next to the house. the shield is in the house in the hill. its in that house attached to the windmill. you get in through that by jumping on the fat ladies house and making your way there. ohh this game was so much fun i played it over and over. i practically have the whole thing memorized in the back of my head! :D

As far as I can tell, it really depends on the game. Some games are more demanding than others (i.e. noises through the remote, more movement, etc).

Best thing you can do is either buy one of the docks with a rechargable wii remote battery packs, or do what I did and buy some rechargable batteries and a charging station for them. :)

It's worth it if you enjoyed some games on Gamecube. Thing is you have to buy a controller, some games require a memory card... But if you just loved a certain game (my roommate....) and you have to be able to play it, then it may be. it's an individual preference thing.
