Annoying ad...

I heard a lot of bad things about Vista. In order for my wireless to work, my brother said we'd have to do a whole bunch of stuff and he's not here to do it. And if we got a new router then we'd have to go through a lot of garbage with our cable company whom I am NOT happy with right now.

Yes, my laptop also has that same little button that turns on/off the wireless and it drives me crazy because I'm always accidentally hitting it. I didn't know about this button (laptop is new to me) and I guess my finger hovered over the button, turning off the wireless, and I didn't know it.
I'm rebooting the modem, rebooting my laptop, I'm doing everything I can think of and nothing is working. I'm in the process of having a meltdown and the b/f walks over, thumps me on the head (nicely) and shows me the on/off button. As he walks away rolling his eyes he says, "God forbid you should lose your internet, your world would come to an end".

My dad is a computer engineer, so he knows all this stuff inside and out. I fear for my future should anything happen to MY internet, oh geez! I guess I know enough though... being able to un-block facebook through the router, I think I'll be okay. Hahaha ;)

My brother works on computers on his job so he's my technical support. I had a friend who used to take care of all my computer problems but he died several years ago.

My entire family is completely reliant on my father. He's not so proud, haha.

I couldn't get my wireless working but my brother offered to help. If he offers then that's different but I hate to ask him.

My boyfriends getting his Bachelors in Computer Science so he's my go-to-guy for computer stuff.lol We also have a guy who comes to clean our computer and he's excellent.

Wait, cleaning computers? Like in the hard-drive sense or physically/manually cleaning off the dust?
