Thank you Reefing :)

I was thinking about a DIY HOB Refugium (with a little LR and chaeto) for a little extra filtration, and ive heard its a good way to administer meds etc?

Is this do-able? or recommended?

so i've been doing a lot of researching on what I'll need to buy to get this up and running asap, just wanted you to have a look at this light fitting,

would this be suitable to corals to be successful?

Yup, fixture will do ya. Might want to change the lights, if they allow it, get like 3 True Blues and one 10 or 12k.

I'll send the guy a message to see if i can get 3x true blue, hopefully he will agree, whats the difference between true blue lamps and 10k lamps? and why do i need more true blue?

The blue penetrates the water more than white light does. Your tanks needs more of that wave length than the white light. I use 22k halides in my tank.

what sort of timing cycle would i need to set up for the different type of lights?

im guessing the LED's come on during the night (9pm - 9am for example) but what about the true blue and 10k?

Koralia is good, ditch the filter.
As for lighting times, having them on depending on the tank, Reef or Fish, you should have them on anywheres from 8-12 hours. Like blue lights on 2 hours before and 2 hours after the rest of the lighting. But its up to you really.
