Getting a new 10G

I'm going to be getting a new 10G. Mainly because I want to start fragging and buying more frags, and obviously, just the fact to get another tank.

This is going to be a display tank, with frag racks on either side of the glasses and possibly the back (black eggcrate). I still want to be able to house regular colonies, but still frag and get frags.

Lighting will be 130W (essentially 110W) provided by a Satellite 24" 130W Dual Compact fixture. I got it new for 30 bucks. There will be a Koralia Nano for movement, and I'm going to mod an AC70 into a fuge (and to house the heater and other ugly things). The back will be painted blue instead of black, because I feel it makes the coral pop.

I for sure want a Black Clownfish. There is a ton at my LFS and they are gorgeous. Maybe two if I feel like it. I also want to get two shrimp, as I feel they are social creatures. And lots of zoas and LPS.

And finally, I will try to get some new pics of the 40 for everybody.

Thoughts so far? I understand it may be hard to follow. Just wanting to write things down right now.

don't chew my head off ,but i think you should put the frag rack on the sides and front so you can see the frags with ease. Is this going to be made out of your old 10 gallon?

Eew, not the front. Remember that this is going to still be a display tank, but with frags.

And I'm just buying a new 10G because I mean, they are like 12 bucks. Not a problem.

I was just wondering about the tank because, ... well it was awesome. You could get a sexy shrimp.

I personally think sexies are too small for anything over 5G. The will got lost and overlooked in a 10G.

I actually want to do a black clownfish, and a blue spotted jawfish/yellow head jawfish. But if bioload is a problem there, I won't do the jawfish. I'll just stick to the shrimp and clown.

Looking forward to the project Cody. I'm been kicking around doing a nano, but just haven't gotten around to it. I may have my brother build me a 12'' x 12'' x 12'' cube.

I think I'm going to do an AIO setup here. A false wall will be on the side, and the display itself will be around 9 gallons. I'll let you all know what will happen
