Ok, thank you once again.

Now another quick question, how many small fish can I keep in this tank with the 2 clownfish?

Am definitely going to do corals at some point, so reef safe appreciated.

I have some ideas, just need to know numbers.

The how many part depends on how big of a fish you did plan on putting in there. I wouldn't go with much more than 3-4 more in there.
Clown Goby, Green
Hector's Goby
Red Head Goby
Yellow Prawn Goby
Midas Blenny
Orange Lined Cardinalfish
Sailfin/Algae Blenny
Firefish, Purple

Just to name a few. There are quite a few to choose from still.

Am pretty sure I have the stocklist sorted.

2 x very small clownfish (False percs)
1-2 Firefish
1 x Green Clown Goby
1 x Royal Gramma Basslet or Blue/Green Chromis or Orchid Dottyback.

Any problems with these? and which should I be adding first...am a little worried because of the small size of the clownfish.
Was planning on getting the rest of the CUC tomorrow (Thursday) but as there is a major snow storm going on... will pass on that

Should not be a prblem with those fish. Doesn't matter with that list which goes in first or last.

Quick tank update.

Lost a few small hermits as they got munched by the larger ones. No fish yet but the rest of the CUC are in.

Did a test tonight, parameters are as follows.

pH 8.2
Calcium 260ppm (I have a calcium supplement on order)
kH - 10
Nitrates are 10ppm (did a water change earlier today so will be less probably)
Ammonia / Nitrite - 0

Noticed for the first time last night a lot of little pods darting around the bottom of the tank. Have something growing on a piece of live rock as well. (Not Aiptasia- it is greeny red color and tiny)

Once my schedule calms down a bit (work is nuts for me at the moment), will be adding the pair of tiny clownfish sometime in the next 2 weeks.

I'd get that Calcium up to 420 before adding anymore inverts. They are going to run into trouble with molts, and end up dieing.

Update on the tank.

Everything is going well apart from the fact I lost 3 small hermit crabs, seems they got munched on as there are little empty shells on the bottom of the aquarium.

I have the rest of the CUC finally on order as have been really busy lately.

Quick question. I have the calcium supplement to up my level from 360ppm. The supplement is Kent Marine Liquid Calcium. It says on the instructions to Add 1 to 5 ml ( to 1 tsp) per 50 gallons of aquarium water each day. I was wondering how much I should add to get the level up to 420ppm. I do not want to overdose and skyrocket the levels.

I have the two clownfish that I am getting separated in their own tank in my LFS with a big sticker on marked RESERVED, as I am regular getting supplies for my freshwater tanks, they decided to be nice and throw in the 2 pieces of quite large live rock in their tank for free...BONUS there.

How essential would Magnesium supplements be once I get to the stage to add corals and perhaps an anemone for the clownfish...reason I ask if they have a sale on additives at the moment and I can a big bottle of Magnesium for next to nothing..(I have the test kit for it already..again free).
