Hi DQ! Guess what! My daughter came home on Saturday with ANOTHER fish for me !
FLAME came from the same store that PRISM came from - Now the 2 of them are on hunger strikes! They only want live Blood worms! We found out that the store they were bought in only feeds them those. I tried the dried brine shrimp but the little devils only want live wiggling food! They take it in for a few seconds then spit it back out!! I am in a panic due to our vacation. ( out pet sitter - my brother law - will not be bothered feeding them the live worms) If I dont feed them for a couple of days will they be more receptive to the pellets etc.? Thank you! FM

Hi - It's the Fish Momma checking in! It took a little over a month - but now since the death of ICE. I had lots of information from you guys and all of your help in looking for a healthy betta.... I now have 4 new ones!! I have a crowntail - named SMAUG! crazy eater - building weekly bubble nests!! He actually gets excited when I come close to his tank! "Butters" a lovely yellow delta tail - kinda shy but coming around - beautiful longs fins! "Tinker Bell" a cute bright green female - real spunky and feisty! She snaps her food off the top of the water, and "PRISM" a really different looking delta - kind of grayish light rainbow colors with beautiful long iridescent fins! He is the newest and most fussy - He only likes bloodworms - the pet store said that is all they fed him. I am trying to get him to eat some pellets or flakes but so far no luck! Any suggestions??

Hi everyone that helped me with feeding my BlueBoy. There were suggestions of soaking his food before I give it to him and IT WORKED!! I'm also looking thru the mini pellets to find the smallest ones and then dropping them into a spoon with water, let them soak for just a min or so and then feeding little at a time. Once soaked these pellets want to go to the bottom quickly, so I give him a chance to get some. He chases the ones dropping to the bottom, so I know he wants to eat. He is getting 2-5 each feeding now (2 x day) so he will be fine. Just takes a little more effort to feed him vs the other 3 but he's worth it. Thank you everyone that answered my "Help Eating Problems blog on 6/23". You were all most helpful in solving my problem. BlueBoy also thanks you!!
