I've been around a lot of people with different mental or developmental disabilities. My mom was a special ed teacher, too and she had 2 autistic kids in her class. One was really smart and she loved working with him. The other one had severe learning and social problems. I've also been around a lot of developmentally disabled adults and I used to help with a neighbor who has Alzheimer's.

Yeah few people with Mental illneses are a threat. Most people witj Asperger syndrome whp commit crimes have Scizopermia and Aspies are more likely to be a victim of a crime. The world needs to get used to us there are 30 million of us.

I agree with letting people with mental disabilities into society and helping them lead normal lives as long as they aren't a danger to anyone.

Instead of curing mental illness supporting those with mental illnesas and letting them into society and being regular people. For example in some Cultures Autistics are shunned. Its kind of like inergration. But companies like Autism Speaks just want to kill Autistics. They sue us too. Most Autistics hate Autism Speaks.

Just like my foot and Backpain. I am a proud supporter of Neurodiversity.

I am the kind that would not want any of my problems cured because it is part of my Personality. My Mom is a special Ed teacher in traning/ former daycare teacher.

Okay. If you could cure your blindness would you?

Some people don't understad it and thats why they act the way they do.

I would call what some of them did harrasing. Are members here working for Autism speaks or something now?
