I wonder if it is the way the light is hitting her? Like maybe it looks like she has a stripe on both sides but she really doesn't?

I'm currently using a 10 watt CFL bulb. Any ideas?

Yeah because the amazon sword family needs high light. It needs 12 hours of light daily. And, it's starting to do really well....so I hate to transplant it. You think she will eventually get used to the light being on everyday?

Maybe. But what can I do? They need a day/light cycle, and her tank is in my room...so she can't get much natural light. But, my plants need light too...so I'm at a loss for what to do.

Marina loses her stress stripes late at night (like starting at 1 AM). And when I leave the house in the morning they are not on her. But her light comes on at 11 and goes off at 11 (12 hours b/c of her plants in there). What could be stressing her out? I did have a tank b/g on but I took it off because I thought it was stressing her out when she was obsessed w/ the tank walls. She acts normal...just swims around and stuff.
