Yeah i know the feeling. I dunno why they hang on so long like that. My two males hung on seemed like forever. I wasnt in a hurry to replace them,but still felt bad for their suffering. I think he will go soon. So you can get another fish . LOL.

I tried every med I have on him and it didn't help. I want to order the ampicillin that MrVampire recommended but I can't see ordering a $3 something item and pay an $8 shipping fee. I'll see what Petsmart has, if anything.

Oh poor Oscar. I dont have it in me to euth a fish either. Hopefully hes not suffering much,and he will go soon. I read fish hang on a long time while in the dying stage. So sorry. Wish these fish could talk so we could help them better.

I'm glad she's doing ok. No, poor Oscar is still alive but barely. I changed his water 2 days after I got back from Fla and I thought the water change would kill him but it didn't so I'm still waiting, poor little thing. I'm not euthanizing him though,. I'm letting him die on his own.
