Thank you for the fair warning ;). I hate to throw numbers out but I have a 29 gallon waiting and I want to get just one goldfish. Some people say they need other goldfish, some say they are fine alone. So a single goldfish is fine?

You are a goldfish breeder, right? Could I keep one goldfish as a pet?

I like Ranchus as well, but no one near me sells them (pet stores or breeders) so I thought I'd go for one of the other two :D I was leaning towards Ryukin as well, I love the body shape.

Hi Rickey! I'm thinking about getting some goldfish, and am torn between Ryukin's and fantails. What's your personal preference?

Hi Rickey, I am part of an Aussie based fish forum, and it seems a lot of members on there are big advocates for using aquarium salt for their betta fish.

There's currently a disagreement about its benefits on the associated FB page, and I was wondering if you had any articles etc. that I could link to that would help support an opposing view.

It seems like aquarium salt has become a legend in its own right with all the things it is alleged to cure/do and so I was thinking that an argument based on science rather than anecdotal evidence would probably be more effective.

    Cheers LBF.
