good to know >w<
As for feeding time... heh, I take his three gallon lid off anyways, even though it's got the little hinged lid in the center. I put a pellet on my finger and move it around and he'll chase it, before I give him a chance to jump up and get it. He gets really excited when the lid comes off, it's so cute! >w<
It should be fine if you don't have it in the water and just over top with a light over top or something you can also get plexi-glass at an improvement store and you can have them cut it as well to what you want I'm pretty sure. You can get it hinged for easier feeding time and get cutouts for chords/filters too.
I havce a question:
I need to make a lid for a ten gallon aquarium, and I have some metal screening, hardcloth or some name like that. I used it to make a lid for my hamster's cage, but I know fish+metals don't mix well. It wouldn't be in the water, but do you think it could potentially cause any problems? Do you have any recommendations?
