I already put him in the 1.5 gallon hospital tank which I did a 100% water change to before putting my poor boy in. He is still eating and active. I would take a picture but he is still like the energizer bunny. When I came home from my trip, I found him sick and with a bit of fin rot. But thanks to this awesome water conditioner I used, his fin rot is gone.
Velvet is a nasty disease so I wouldn't spend much on herbal or minimal treatments. You want to nip it in the butt as quick as you can, I use Cupramine by SeaChem with amazing results; very easy to dose too. 1 drop per gallon the first day and the bottle has the rest of the treatment. While you treat them, best to bump their heater temperature up to 86 if you can and throw a towel/blanket over their tank. Not only does it keep them calm but it helps prevent velvet from multiplying; which is what you DON'T want them to do!
The boys and girls are fine and yeah, I've got three cats. Two Maine Coon siblings; Ieli (eye-lee) my girl and MC her brother my dad's cat and then Siberian the Silver tabby who is my brothers cat technically but I've "adopted" all of them lol all three sleep with me, I feed and water them so they all love me more
