    I didn't know what I was dealing. I treated him with aquarium salt and that seemed to work for two days. Then it all went down hill so fast that I almost euthanized him because he was in pain.

    I doubt it was TB, all your other fish would be dead too if it were. It was probably some different bacteria is all. What kind of algae eater?

    Aww your sassy dude is dead? I just lost my double tail half moon to dropsy or tb. I put a new alge eater in my five gallon tank and he was sick.

    Water conditioner alone does not cure fin rot. Are you sure it was fin rot?

    And no, AQ salt will barely do anything for Velvet, and just want to make sure; are you sure it is velvet and not his normal iridescence?

    I already put him in the 1.5 gallon hospital tank which I did a 100% water change to before putting my poor boy in. He is still eating and active. I would take a picture but he is still like the energizer bunny. When I came home from my trip, I found him sick and with a bit of fin rot. But thanks to this awesome water conditioner I used, his fin rot is gone.
