Hi Lupin, I was thinking about getting some comet goldfish. What is the minimum tank size for them? Thanks!

    Hello Lupin!
I have two comet goldfish and unfortunately my tank temperature is about 78F which I know is a little high. I've put some treated ice cubes in their tank that they LOVE playing with, but I can't seem to get the temperature to come down permanently, and I'm scared that the fluctuations will harm them. They're already in the coldest part of my house... Should I continue with the cubes or just leave them be? They appear to be happy/healthy as it is.

    Thank you!

    Hey Lupin,
I had a quick question. I am considering two oranda or lionhead goldfish down the road, as I mentioned to you a few months ago in a thread. So, I was researching these fishies, and the profile here on TFK says they need a pH of 7.4 or higher, and that anything lower can irritate them with the loss of slime coat.... so my question is this... my settled pH in my tanks is a pretty soft 6.4, with hardness at 7 dKH. Are these water parameters truly unsuitable for goldfish? I dont want to get them if they wont be able to not only survive, but be happy and healthy in my water conditions.
