If they aren't too expensive then why not get one? Wait until you are on the road and check about 30, 45 minutes after you left to see the temp of the fish... if they are cold then you can use it, if not then hold onto it in case you need it later.. and if you don't use it for the fish, maybe you can use it for yourself some day lol :)

And any time :) Sorry about not responding sooner this time around..

Keep in mind larger containers may "slosh" around a bit more, so I would test them out if you can.. just fill it with water to the point you wish and move it back and forth to simulate turning, stopping, etc. I would get a heat pack and keep an eye on the temp during the trip - use an internal thermometer to check every so often and if it gets below 70 then use the heat pack and check to make sure it doesn't get too warm as well. Wrap the heat pack in one layer of newspaper. As for the air I would drill or poke a few smaller holes in the lids of the containers if you can, just one or two in the middle would work. If you can't cut holes into the lid then I recommend refreshing their air (removing lid and replacing it) pretty often - no more than 30 minutes at a time.
Can use towels to wrap around the containers as well - the dark will help keep them soothed and will help keep them warmer so that you may not need to use the heat pack.

Hey! Yup - we currently have two recued bullies... They are great dogs (well, one has some behavioral issues that we're working on that aren't linked to aggresion, but I'm fairly sure that being partially starved, tied to a park bench in the middle of NYC, and left for some random stranger to deal with can have that affect on a puppy of any breed). I've had a bunch of friends and family in the same boat as your parents and brother - they, too, are now believers that the bully breeds aren't all that the media makes them out to be! I swear, the best way to change people's minds on pit bulls and similar breeds is by setting a good example and letting people make their own decisions.
