Unsure if that would be enough light.. they should be covered to get humidity since their labyrinth organs start to develop around the 7th week.

Can use the clear plastic tarps cut down. Unsure exactly, I would ask in a post in case someone has used the tubs before. I stick with tanks.

I have a 22.5 gal tub I'm going to use as my second grow out tank. It will be a see through one...so....what should I use as a lid? I don't want to use saran wrap. Would the lid work since it's see through, or would that not be enough light?

Thank you for your input. After speaking with MattsBettas, I've come up with a different combination that I plan to breed. The only thing holding me back at this point is the number of fish in my sorority (the girl is in the sorority).

Yes. She also looks to have feather/rose tailing, which can lead to majority deformity in the fry (body/scale wise).

She is pretty with those fins and all - but not something you want to breed.

Does this girl look like she has excessive branching to you?

Panic attack setting in NOW. Please check my Male or Female!? thread. Someone on FB just told me that "she" is actually a "he", and that male have ovipositors too!? Omg I'm freaking right now. Good thing I took "it" out of my sorority!
