As for plants.. look up "hardy" or "beginner" plants.. it will depend on what you are wanting - are you wanting to put in soil/sand and plant the plants into the soil, do you want floating plants or do you want ones that you can tie (using sewing string or fishing line) to rocks/decorations/driftwood?

There are plants that can be good for all 3 of those ways too.. it all comes down to how much you want to put into it - how difficult you want to make it, etc.

I only deal with floating plants - Anacharis, pennywort, hornwort varieties that can be tied down or floating.. I float due to I use them for breeding bettas.

If you are wanting the best advice when it comes to plants, and how to care for certain types - be it Javas or Anubias.. I would message Oldfishlady - she deals with many varieties of plants and is quite knowledgeable in plant care.

    Thanks!

Sounds cute, both your boy and fish lol.. these are fun little creatures and pretty intelligent for fish.

As far as feeding, 4-5 per meal on the pellets is fine. It's not too much, but not too little. It's enough to keep up his energy and metabolism, so I see nothing wrong with that.
As for the bloodworms, I'm sure he loves them.. mine jump for them as well. You can judge better on how many to feed him, but I would say anywhere from 3 to 6 pieces is good depending on the size of the worms - some are smaller than others. But bloodworms are great to feed them for the extra protein.
