- I hope your Molly issue improves. It is always tough when fish don't quite get along. It bothers me when my own pick on each other even when it is natural. It drives me crazy when I want to do something about it but all I can do for the time being is watch. You make good observations in your own tank. My brother had this beta named speed who he checked on about once a month. Guess who took care of him. Keep watching, acting and speaking out to others. Sometimes problems solve themselves but some will only be solved if you do it yourself.

Posted On: 06-25-2013, 07:06 PMYes. The plants need nitrogen, and their preferred form is ammonium (ammonia), so they grab it. Provided there are not too many fish, and the plants are numerous and fast-growing, they will take up...Liked On: 06-25-2013, 07:37 PM
Posted On: 06-25-2013, 06:55 PMIf you go with live plants, they can do the "cycling" for you. You need some fast growers, and floating are the best for this. Once the tank is set up and running with the plants, you just add the...Liked On: 06-25-2013, 07:37 PM
