I purchased both Bettas around the same time---two months ago. I quarantined them for a couple of weeks while the plants were growing and put them both in at the same time. Both the filter and the heater were on his side.

That is odd-and he was in a divided tank and the other Betta is fine-any recent changes or was her new. Filter overflow and heater on his side or the other.

I am new to the site, but not to bettas. I am in my 20s and attending law school, but in my free time (haha, yea right), I enjoy going to the beach, writing, reading, etc. I have always had a soft spot for Bettas. Most of them were about 3-5 years old before going to fishy heaven.
There was:
Triton: King Betta
Skye: Veitail (He was my oldest at nearly 6 years old <3)
Rainbow: Veiltale
Leatherneck: Veiltale (Got his name after my bro joined the USMC. He had a very rough appearance--unlike most of the other 'pretty' bettas. What can I say?)
Lilly: Veiltale Female
Ember: Veiltale Female
Artemis: Veiltale
Gizmo: Crowntail
Cobalt: Crowntail--sadly when I got him he had horrible fin rot and I was not able to keep him long
Flare: 1/8/10-1/18/13 ;(

Joker: DT
Harley Quinn: Female CT
