Definitely! I miss El Dorado... His color was a true bright yellow.

Not quite. With Janey there is too much iridescence. Perhaps to a red - as yellow is a mutation of red, as is orange. So I may get orange.

Definitely! If I had a yellow female, it'd be perfect.

To me freeze dried is no good. It is a teat, much like candy for a kid. When getting the fish into peak condition I go for the most nutritious and least likely to cause SBD route. I don't think I would worry about him lol. I've had some that snatched a whole one, and were big and fat from it too ><

With mealworms, you have to gut stuff them... Feed them anything with nutrients... So skip out on the lettuce. Chop the head off, and squeeze out the meat. The fish will grab the meat from the shell. I have had a female swallow a piece of shell, when I used to dice them. Don't do it!

I condition for 2 weeks at least. It is every day feeding, no fasting day. The usual one-day-a-week-fasting I replace with a smaller meal instead of fully fasting. During the conditioning days, they are fed 3-6 times a day depending on the betta his or herself. I offer the mealworms every other day, and not the whole mealworm to one betta - unless it is smaller. I would use live if I had any but mealworms are the closest I have xD Frozen foods, mealworms and now NLS pellets. NO FREEZE DRIED EVER.

Currently my thread is closed, but I"d be willing to put you on my list. I have four other commissions to get done first...hopefully some this weekend. But if you don't mind the wait, PM me what you want. =)
