Yeah that's what I thought it was at first, but then the fin disappeared. So I'll fully clean th tank and change the water every day. What do I use for tannins? Could I use driftwood? Is Wardleys essentials good enough food, or do you reccomend that I go buy some hikari betta gold, because I have heard that's one of the best.
Thank you so much for the response. It makes me feel so much better to know that all I need to do at the moment is keep the water very clean.
Often the best treatment for fin damage-Is clean, dechlorinated water from water changes and good nutrition. The calmer the water the better for the long fins-as well as tannins to help toughen them.
Clear, white and off color edges can sometimes be new growth-Depending on damage-it can take weeks to month for re-growth and sometimes the fins will not look as they did before.
How do I best treat the fin rot or whatever it possibly is? I did about a 40% water change today and I am planning on fully changing it tomorrow. I have a heater and a filter. Temperature is about 25 degrees celcius. 77 f I think.
He is eating Wardleys essentials betta food, but I can ride to the pet shop and get some hikari gold? I think that's what it's called.
Thank you so much if you answer. I'm Really worried and thought your advice would probably be the best
I have two questions for you. I would really appreciate it, if you answered.
Is this fin rot? My Betta Johnny recently wounded himself in a homemade divider. His wounds are slowly getting better, and he now has the entire 2ft by 1 ft to himself, aside from two albino corydoras.
Yesterday I noticed that part of his caudal fin, at the end, in the middle, had turned light blue whitish. He has a very dark blue face and dark blue fins spotted with black. He is a veil tail. Also a small part of the top of his dorsal fin did the same.
Today, these parts of his fins are gone and there are a few tiny patches of it on his caudal fin. It is sorta almost seethrough, only a tiny bit though.
Apart from this though he is acting normal.
