Curling rays is indicating hard water, but it shouldn't be a problem.. it just means his rays will curl.

If he's losing color he may be stressed.. as long as he's acting fine, not clamped and eating well I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't know anything about blind/red eye thing. Sorry.

I think the tips of white are just his normal coloring. I see his belly is gray which can be a sign of stress in fish but he also has white as his normal coloring so that just may be his normal coloring as well. Hard to say. I do see where some of his rays are shorter. Do you see any graying/browing/blackening to the tips? I really don't see any of that.. I don't see anything too alarming.

So that second boy you used to be pie bald? Interesting he's gained scales with the epsom salt.. His coloring looks okay to me from what I can see there. They're soft colors but that doesn't mean they're not normal for him.. only you'd know that.

I'm sorry that doesn't sound good..

The VT's head is healing in epsoms though right? I'll take a look.

I jar all the males from a spawn and eventually put what females didn't sell into the main sorority tank. Earlier this year I switched their 90 to an Oscar/Catfish tank because I didn't have that many so I'll be putting them in two 30 gallon sororities. When do you want to do this?

I have females from 2 months to 10 months old. Probably half of the 1,500 or so Bettas in my fishroom.

I just got back online after moving twice in the last three weeks. I managed to have a wonderful Christmas and hope you did as well. I have some Copper and Gold Plakat females with yellow Red or Orange fins. I can make you a good deal on 3 of them for $20 shipping included.

They can have a slight infection that can go for a very long time before you notice anything is really wrong. That is possible he came in with it.

You might try treating your CT with epsoms and the parasite clear too just to see if it helps.. epsoms at least. I would doubt they have something different between the two of them but it's possible. Would seem too much of a coincidence not to be the same thing.

If it were me I'd toss the blood worms and not feed them anymore. That could have been the source, although it's really unlikely that the freeze drying processes wouldn't have killed it.. Aqueon and Omega One Pellets should have been fine. Those are too processed to contain parasites... it's a mystery. NLS will be good to prevent this from coming back at least with the garlic.

The conditioner switch should have been fine.

What conditioner were you using and what are you using now?
