It will be another two or three weeks before they are fully colored up.

I don't know what colors they'll turn out to be. The grandfather was a Blue and Red Dragon and there were Blue and Purplish as well as Red and the White ones like the father in his spawn. I can't wait to see how they finish growing out. I think they will be taking home several Blue Ribbons when the show season starts up again in March.

They are by no means all identical. Quite a bit of variety.

That's true.. I just meant it didn't seem to hurt my cycle or cause any random die off after.

It would eventually die in the bottle. It has a limited shelf life but whatever it's suspended it allows it to live for a time. That's part of why I suggest to buy direct. You might not have as good results buying from other sources, depending on how long it's been on the shelf.

Directions are on the bottle.. like dosing meds or whatever. It also says you can just add the whole bottle.. I added the whole thing to my 10g and it clouded up badly but was gone by morning and so were all my nitrites. Your tank is like half my.. you could add half a bottle safely at least.

You realize that removing your filter from the 10g is going to crash your cycle right? All that bb that is built up in the gravel and other surfaces is going to die and cause an ammonia spike..

Every cycle is different. It is not abnormal to start gradual.. then will suddenly spike high, stick for a while, then randomly fall away overnight.

My last 10g I cycled out in like 2 weeks using Dr. Tim's One & Only Live Nitrifying Bacteria. It may help you. It shocked me at how well it worked. I would buy direct if you want to try it.

Well.. I've never tried to cycle something so small so I can't comment personally. I know cycling can take up to 2 months to complete and that it stands to reason smaller tanks will take longer so maybe it's just going to take more time.

OFL also thinks that twice weekly 50% changes are always going to be needed in something below 5g so that may also be part of it.

What's the temperature and ph of the tank?

I haven't done any tests to compare acrylic and glass, but from a straight scientific stand point, acrylic has better thermal properties than glass. It should hold heat better.

The Red and Snow girls are 10 weeks and the Fire Dragon ladies are about 12 weeks old. Give me a holler when you are ready. There are well over 100 of them so I'm sure I'll still have plenty around your B-day.

I have been seeing other sellers using the term Snow Dragon when selling White Dragons which I hadn't seen before so when White Dragons showed up in my Dragon spawns I used that name for them.

Red Dragons have Red finnage with thick White Dragon scaling. My Fire Dragons have Red finnage with Gold iredescence over their fins and body giving an impression of shimmering flame.
