I don't remember how much my LF charges but I know each tube is under $10, so I'm not really worried about the cost. You can send what you feel like or I have enough to cover it.

I'll mail you some Metro and Focus if you PM me an address I can use. I can mail it tomorrow. I don't know how long it will take to get there but I'm in KS so we're very close. It shouldn't take but a few days.

Hopefully the PC will help in the meantime.

I'm sorry but I don't think keep using PC over and over again is going to work for him long term. He needs 3-4 weeks on the meds and if they can't be used so long it's just going to keep coming back until it's totally resistant to the meds and then he'll be in real trouble.. I don't think you can use it for so long either because it contains a carcinogenic pesticide.

I don't know about locally but it's cheap online.. Metro and Focus from Seachem are <$10 so I'm not sure what source you're looking at that is so expensive.

Supposedly also GC can be fed and mixed with 1/2 packet per feeding so if you wanted to try that I could tell you how to do it. I have never done this before, just read about it, so that's all I can tell you.

The ingredients in parasite clear will toast your cycle so it's a shame you put it in there.. Part of the meds lose their effectiveness after 24 hours so that's why you can redose. As long as you follow the instructions on the package it should be safe.

Internal parasites will take 3-4 weeks to clear up. It's normal for the symptoms to go away faster but they almost always come back if treatment isn't continued. I don't know that the treatment you are using is safe for that long.. I do know that feeding metro and focus soaked pellets is.

I know your VT has internal parasites awhile back.. seems like a relapse. That's common on treatments under 3-4 weeks.

Use 1 tsp per gallon predissolved. Only add when you do a water change. I use Kanaplex for fin rot because it's effective and doesn't stress fish in my experience. But there are a lot of meds which should help fin rot. Maracyn Plus, Furan 2, Triple Sulfa, and Maracyn II (last resort as very stressful and least effective).

I'd start with AQ and as long as it doesn't get any worse and looks like it's clearing up within the week then maybe that's all that's needed. If it keeps progressing despite the AQ then use meds.

Well I guess it would depend on how fast it's moving and how close the body it is..

I'm trying to leave a link to my youtube video/slideshow or one for photobucket but it won't let me. If you search for (Best of Chard56 2012) in the search box on youtube it should take you to it.

I bought the aqua clear filter sponges & then cut them to fit my needs. I got them at Petsmart but you can get anything similar. I bought the box that has 3 sponges. I have the Top Fin 10g filters. I would think what you have would work. I kept the filter cartridge frame & stuffed the filter in the space between the frame & the filter housing on the tank side so the water still flows from behind. I don't know what kind of filter you have. You may have to play around with it to figure out what works best for you.
