Sometimes he is resting his tail on a leaf or the gravel... But other times he's just floating at the top. He was constipated a few days ago but some Epsom salt cleared it right up. He's normally lethargic because he is not stimulated enough but he always reacts to water movement.
Hey, my blind CT has been doing something I find kind of strange lately... He's been sitting either at the top or the bottom... Almost completely virtically.. With his head upwards. Ummm... Do you have any idea why?
Yeah they have been curled. I'm not sure how hard my tap water is, though. I saw that they have water hardness tests at my Walmart near the outdoor pool section o.0 he's less active than when I got him but I'm 99% sure it's because of his vision. He's starting to get a little more confident exploring on his own.
In certain lighting his head looks kinda lighter colored. He's always been a more brownish color near his head. I have older pictures of him in my albums... He's also had that light brown color on his gills and lighter spots as well... But just on his gills. Now that lighter color seems to cover his whole face at times in certain lighting. He usually looks darker when I first turn on his lights.
The CT.. Idk. Maybe he somehow broke off the ends of those rays when he went blind on his decorations or something.. They don't have any black edges though, or white. The ends there were white before they got shortened. He's also had the bent and curled rays since I got him. Also, on his anal fin near his caudal fin, there is a ray or two that looks really short and maybe a little frayed? He's also had that since I got him and they haven't grown back out. I have a picture of him the day I got him in my albums when he was still in his cup.
I don't know anything about blind/red eye thing. Sorry.
I think the tips of white are just his normal coloring. I see his belly is gray which can be a sign of stress in fish but he also has white as his normal coloring so that just may be his normal coloring as well. Hard to say. I do see where some of his rays are shorter. Do you see any graying/browing/blackening to the tips? I really don't see any of that.. I don't see anything too alarming.
So that second boy you used to be pie bald? Interesting he's gained scales with the epsom salt.. His coloring looks okay to me from what I can see there. They're soft colors but that doesn't mean they're not normal for him.. only you'd know that.
