    He is eating perfectly fine. Not cramped or lethargic. I was worried because the stripes are horizontal like stress stripes.

    Stripes and color changes don't always mean stress-it is a form of communication and camouflage in the fish world. Is he showing any other S/S...like clamp fins, lethargic, appetite change, hiding, not responding to you-if not, and the water quality and temp are fine...might not be anything to worry about....

    Hi OFL. Lately my crowntail Oasis has had stress stripes. He is in the same little cube thingy he has always been in. I'm not sure what size it is. Water temp is the same. The only thing different is I took a plant out to put in a different tank. Why do you think he is stressed?
