- Makes sense to me Bob. Some time back I started a topic on room temperature vs tank temperature, using my rack of 5 gallon tanks. I've got the same rack of 5's open for the summer. Man are DO meters crazy expensive! I did find a liquid DO test online, I've got plenty of Prime on hand, time for a bit of playing around!

With no water changes, untreated tap water, inexpensive lighting by first starting the tank with live plants (FW) or macro algae( marine)
