Yeah, Shosta's scales normally show a blue/silver irid. but when he flares (and at certain angles) it's a beautiful copper xD

Mine has darkened up a bit, and he's lost the white tips on his ventrals. He's really amazing when he colors up to flare and reflects in three colors at once. Well, you know what I mean.

Yes! That symphony is amazing, I would love to play it some day.
We played Shosta's 1st cello concerto last spring with an amazing soloist who went to our school. We did Rachmaninoff's 2nd last fall with a world famous solo pianist, it was great fun :D The adagio is very beautiful.

Lol, I got the Cryillic alphabet off of google translate xD

Yeah, string players have to love Russians. Tchaikovsky's Violin concerto in D is enough reason right there, although I have a soft spot for his Rococo variation because I adore cello.

My favorite by Shostakovitch is his symphony #5.

My favorite composer is Sergei Rachmaninoff. The adagio from his symphony #2 is what they'll play at my funeral.

Hey, where'd you get the Cyrillic alphabet?
