Marimo is an algae that helps stop algae problems plus shrimp love them. Anuibis is a small plant commonly grown on driftwood and lava rock. Also semi-aquatic plants in the lid or filter really help too.

No Shrimp can live in a gallon or less. Bigger is better though.

Ghost shrimp can be bought for 2 quarters. But you should always have the water clean anyways. Live plants are very good.
