Well, 55 gallon set up and running, has been for two or three days now. =) However, I am now thinking it was mislabeled and is actually a 75 gallon. =O I was looking at 55's today, and mine is about a foot or so longer, and a few inches higher! I wonder now.
I also got my new long-finned BN Pleco finally. =) Woo. She/he looks pretty good too. Couple torn fins, but she seems happy enough, I'll fix her up. Afterall, the pleco I got before lost an entire fin, and you can't even tell now! I also got four more cories to go with the four I have, two female platy and two female swordtails(the boys were getting bratty in all the extra room, I didn't have enough girls!), I forgot what kind they are though, they only had their scientific name and they're hard to remember. But they are all cuddling and doing the cory kisses. lol So I am totally set. Swordtail is having babies too.
Thought you would like a quick update! Hope you guys are enjoying your holidays.
Ouhoho, Chesh, guess what? I got up this morning to baby fishies everywhere...and I mean everywhere. My creamsicle finally gave birth. I'm so excited! I can finally put in my creamsicle thread...that my creamsicle is now a mom! :3 Only had to wait four months and about nine pages, eh? X)
Oh yeah, forgot, if you can get photos of your platy mother and maybe even the kids, I may be able to help you identify them. I'm still having a bit of trouble identifying platies myself, as you can see I'm having one of my own identity issues....I wish shops would get their butts in gear, selling fish under the wrong species name could be absolutely devastating to people! I mean what if something dangerous looks like someone elses calmer fish, just a color they hadn't seen before and liked?! =(
Yeah, everyone is doing much better. I see no more spots on any of them, but I'm gonna play it safe and continue the full medication cycle here. lol The girl I was worried about looks like nothing ever happened. My plants are falling apart in the heat though. >< That's ok, I can start that over if I HAVE to, better them than my fish, but still a shame.
Ah yes, my Creamsicle molly has a visible gravid spot this time. Or I can see the babies through her tummy at least(Dunno if that's the same thing or not), so I'm keeping watch. She's getting big and slow, it's hard to tell if she's in labor or not, you know how difficult she's been for me! I look forward to giving you more good news though. =)
Hmmmm, you posted a pic in my Becoming thread a while back, but I don't know how recent it was! I'll go check your tank log (SERIOUSLY have to update ALL of mine, too!) and looking forward to new pics! Glad all is going well over there - and the Ich is clearing up :)
