Just tell him he's wasting his money. Those fish are going to die of stress. You can get a refund and get in-store credit or something. So you can get live plants or something!

I mean from a different tank. Danios are fin nippy fish, they aren't really recommended together. But it's possible. They need at least a 2-4 foot tank, though. :\ They weren't supposed to be in your tank the 1st place..
