I didn't ASK they just decided to get one for me. and then i found out and then I started researching about everything. feeding, cage size, how to feed the babies, what kind of food they can eat, etc.

Did you ask them for a parakeet? Definitely do research. Birds are much much more work and harder to care for than fish. If you aren't sure you can take care of a bird, try to convince your parents not to get one.
