Work and home life have been busy. One of the boys at work decided jumping into his filter would be fun for him and the resulting fin rot from the stress of the ordeal would be fun for me *sighs* I took him home, put him in a 1/2 bowl with IAL, and have been treating him with AQ salt. He's a double tail butterfly so I'm really hoping his fins grow back soon because he looks wonky with his tiny red DT and nothing else.
Right. It's cheaper than buying the tests for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates separately...plus you get pH.
The additive bottle should list nitrosomonas and nitrobacter (or nitrospira) in the contents. Tetra and Dr Tim's both do and one other I can't remember.
Project cycling ten or twenty gallon tank should begin either this sunday or early next week. The lovely guy at my LFS even said he'd give me gravel from their established 55 gallon tank so technically my filter will be cycled from the get-go. Im going to get either the Tetra Safestart or the Micro something or other that I saw at wal-mart. I would need to get the Master Kit as well right?
