I was so excited because it helps my fishies, who are loving playing in their floating water sprite btw, and me reduce water changes a bit and thereby reduce stress. Im definitely getting more plants. Looking for low lights right now as I only have an LED and indirect sunlight. I have java and lace fern, java moss, two crypts, and a Mr. JJ Moss, the mossball. Any suggestions on what I could add.
Hair algae can sometimes be cause by either-too high watts, light too close to the water, old light bulb-to name a few common causes-generally its a type of algae that needs manual removal on occasion since this is a closed system-but sometimes you can control it to a degree. I have used an old tooth brush and twisted/twirled it around the hair algae to remove.
