Hopefully :) I'm thinking about moving him into my critter keeper soon. Maybe when I see the bulge is completely gone. He still swims oddly, maybe it's because he's in such a tiny container? Thank you again for helping me! I will add an updated picture to the thread I made a while ago once he's healed (hopefully soon).
:) He's recovering very quickly. It's was weird because a couple months ago he was lethargic and breathing hard. Then he just started perking up. Maybe it's a cyst or something? if it was a tumor, is it likley it will come back? He's now acting more normal during water changes...fighting me tooth and nail. lol.
That is wonderful news! I honestly have no idea what's going on now, diagnosis-wise, but I'm just happy he's getting better. It's so odd though because all of the conditions I can think of that would cause a bloat or lump like that also include lack of appetite, lethargy, trouble breathing, general signs of sickness. Tumors is the only condition I can think of that can cause a lump like that while not affecting the health or behavior. But if it is a tumor, it's certainly the first time I've ever heard of it shrinking on its own. He could be a medical miracle. :)
Fatty liver disease. I couldn't find too much on it in fish but I guess humans get it too. You might PM Oldfishlady and ask her as she knows much more than I do; she has a medical background. Either way, I sure am glad he's doing so much better. :)
