One girl came down with dropsy. It's really disturbing and IMO I think it be most humane to euthanize her. :'( But I put the other 4 girls together and they're doing good. A bit of chasing and nipping but no full on fights.
Thanks! I am relatively new to bettas so I was super nervous when I started mine too. I added my four girls about 5-10 minutes apart and after a very brief but very scary battle they were fine and have been ever since, just make sure to keep an eye on them and be prepared to remove any girls that don't want to play nice. I also keep them together during water changes (in a giant bucket reserved just for fishies) which I think helps keep them calmer when I put them back in the tank. I totally redid their tank today and have not seen a single nip :) Good luck!!!
Hello! I just saw the picture of your sorority tank! It is GORGOUS! I have my females in QT but I'm introducing them on wednesday. I know about the typical "lots of plants and hiding spots" and I've got that covered. Are there any tips you might have for me? I'm rly nervous.
