Yup! At least that's been everyone's experience that I've talked to! Just don't go over 5ppm is all because then you can stall out your cycle which is obviously no good

Yeah, I'd be worried if ammonia didn't stink haha

Okay I think you should bump up the ammonia to 4ppm if you can. 2ppm is going to take longer, and that's not half the point of a Fish-less cycle lol but if you keep doing 2ppm it's going to take longer than it already is so if you bump it to 4ppm, I suspect you'll see nitrites by the end of the week

Oh no worries I don't mind the questions!!

Okay so how long exactly have you been doing this cycle? It usually takes two-ish weeks for nitrites to show.

Hey, if you can spare the time, I would love it if you could post on the pirate RP! No pressure, though. A lot of people are busy with vacations and stuff, and I know you're in other RPs too.

Yeah she's in my Betta log.

No I offered this one time since I was already being paid for the pet-sitting but we're arranging for me to come over once a month to help her clean it out I'll be paid for that

Well actually I had help getting this girl from AquaBid so I've technically owned her for about a month but she finally got to me is all. I've gone from 1 to 22 in a year so I think that's perfectly fine!

I've added water to it when it evaporated but I had a busy week taking care of a lady's tank that I pet-sit for. I spent 8 hours cleaning that thing and I could still spend another 8 to get all that poop out of there! So I was kind of water-changed'out for the week :-/

Actually 22 now XD lol I got my new girl in! Well 15 of them are in the sorority so I really only have 6 tanks set up for them so it's not too bad. I've been slacking on my 33 though, hasn't had a proper water change in two weeks

No, Ditto had ripped his fins on the filter and that was the start of it; it's been on and off since then. Then Jarvis came with it but I didn't know it, it looked like his regular coloration but he came from a tank with two other male PK's and the owner didn't know they were males. He didn't have chunks taken out so I assume it was the water quality and Gambit hasn't bitten yet that I can see of.

    Ah okay.

Thank you! That's Rembrandt And they're all doing well except Jarvis and Ditto who have fin rot which I'm treating now and Gambit whom I got because of his bad fin rot and split in his anal fin but everyone else is doing really well!

Oh no, I wasn't saying you should age your water. I was simply saying that if the tank water hadn't been completely sealed in, the chlorine will evaporate through the day and night is all. And no the sponge wouldn't hold it in.

Also you are doing a fish-less cycle? If so you can bump your ammonia up to 4ppm and it won't stall it, just don't go over 5ppm and you're good. And what do you mean it's taking a while? 2-3 days isn't a while
