5 should be fine. It's better than getting a different species and keeping them at a bad temperature. 78F is really warm for tropical fish in general. It's hard to have good tank mates for bettas. But no one really listens.
Oh ok. I just don't want anyone to die just because of nature. I'll probably just get bottles and fill it with treated water for changes. Thank you. Again. (; Oh, and Bekah said that Albinos will be too much for a 10 because they're shoaling, is that true? I really like Cories. I'm even getting sand because of them. -_-
Honestly, they should be able to tough it out. Fish don't need to be babied. I forgot to plug a heater in and overnight it dropped to 60F with no harm done. Yes my house is cold. Even if you have no hot water, letting it get to room temp first is usually enough.
Hi Olympia. I was just wondering about winter... It's going to get cold and once I get my sorority finished, it will probably be December by then. If the power goes out, how am I supposed to do water changes and keep them warm? I'm in the Northeast US so I'm just wondering for my fish's health. I'm just really worried about their lives. :/
OK, if I'm not able to go to Petsmart today, I'll just do the salt.
Don't worry, it's the size of a penny. :) I still need to cut it into tinier pieces. And make it even smaller for the future pieces...
