| My 55-gallon and its occupants |
This is my bigger tank which I actually have set up in my laundry room. It's a peaceful place I can sit and watch fish while the dryer hums. Plus, it smells like Downy-fresh towels. :)
It is a planted tank with gravel. The water in this is actually softer than my other tanks, 9 GH. I have no idea why. There's Water Sprite, Dark Red Jungle Val, glossostigma elatinoides, and something called Blyxa auberti as well as the occasional crypt and little sword. My plants never fare well, and I have to spend a fortune replacing them about 3 times a year. I attribute this to lack of CO2 because I use Flourish and occasional root tabs and have Aquaticlife HO fluorescent T5 lighting. With the water being fairly soft, I can't run my lights too long in a day because they will sort of outrun the nutrients.

| Tanks that didn't work out and misc |
I have had tanks that didn't work out and are now empty, just waiting for fish and plants to reinhabit them. Here they are along with reasons they didn't work.
