I know some people would do veggies for one meal and 1-2 pellets for the other meal, but I think a both should be in the same meal. I would give them one mouthful of pellet (so roughly one pellet) to two mouthfuls of veggies. This also depends a bit on the size of the fish. Large fish can obviously eat larger mouthfuls and hold more food in the GI tract.

Young goldfish need a lot of protein, between 45% and 40%. Older goldfish (3+ years) are the ones that need between 25% and 30% protein. That would be a pretty good staple diet, but with older goldfish I would supplement with more veggies.

New Life Spectrum, hands down. If you've got new goldies, try to get one the higher protein formulas as the goldfish formula is a little lower in protein than I would like for a young goldfish. Some of the cichlid formulas might fit the bill.

That depends on the tank shape and size, sex, and age of the PK...generally the 2.5gal is fine.....

    No problem!

If you ever change your mind, Zorro is still looking for a new home.

Finnfinn, I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that my Hydor THEO came to day! I was so excited! And here's the bad news... The bad news is that it works partially. It just offs after a short while. I don't have a filter or an aerator to keep the water going. Will it still work? I want the water to be warm so Lebron could enjoy his home more. ~LTB

Buddy was put to sleep this morning, and our family is glad to see that she is no longer suffering.

I am trying to keep myself busy, so the sale & shipping of the betta is back available. A invoice has been sent via paypal.

Please let me know when you would like me to ship out your order?
